Refund Policy

Effective from 9 October 2026. Applies to font licences bought directly in the zasepa.com store. Purchases on MyFonts are covered by MyFonts’ refund policy.

1. What you buy

We sell licences to use our fonts together with downloadable font files. The files are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium – we make them available in the order confirmation email and in your account as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Once a font is downloaded, it stays on your device and cannot be “returned”. That is why the rules differ from those for physical goods.

2. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

If you are a consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving any reason. In Poland this also applies to sole traders buying for purposes outside their professional activity.

When the right of withdrawal ends

Under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU (Article 38(1)(13) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act), you lose the right of withdrawal when:

  1. before paying, you expressly asked us to make the files available immediately, before the 14-day period ends,
  2. you were informed that you would lose the right of withdrawal once the files are made available, and you acknowledged this,
  3. we sent you a confirmation of the contract that includes confirmation of your consent (the order confirmation email).

You give this consent by ticking the checkbox in the checkout form. Without it, we cannot make the files available immediately.

When you can withdraw

You can withdraw within 14 days if the conditions above have not been met – for example, if for technical reasons we have not yet made the files available, or you did not receive the confirmation of your consent.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email to info@zasepa.com or by post to: Zasępa Studio, ul. Paderewskiego 52, 42-202 Częstochowa, Poland. You may use the model form below, but you don’t have to. It is enough to send the statement before the 14 days are up.

We will refund the full amount within 14 days of receiving your statement, using the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree to another method that costs you nothing. After withdrawal you may no longer use the fonts or share them with others, and you must delete the files.

3. Complaints – when a font does not work as promised

We are responsible for the fonts conforming to the contract. If the files are damaged, will not install, lack characters or styles promised in the product description, or you received a different licence than you ordered, you can file a complaint. Consumers have the statutory rights for digital content that does not conform to the contract. We are liable for any lack of conformity that existed at the time of supply and becomes apparent within 2 years of supply.

Send your complaint to info@zasepa.com with your order number, a description of the problem (ideally with a screenshot), your operating system and the application you use the font in.

What we will do:

  1. First, we will bring the font into conformity – usually by supplying corrected files or the correct licence.
  2. If that is impossible, cannot be done within a reasonable time, or the problem is significant, you can ask for a price reduction or withdraw from the contract and get a refund.

We will reply to your complaint within 14 days of receiving it. If we do not reply in time, the complaint is deemed accepted.

4. Extra rules we apply voluntarily

Beyond what the law requires:

  • Duplicate purchase – if you accidentally bought the same licence twice, we will refund the duplicate.
  • Upgrading your licence – you can extend your licence at any time (e.g. from Desktop to Desktop + Web/App) by paying the price difference. Email us and we will prepare the order.
  • Wrong licence chosen – if within 14 days of purchase you tell us you chose the wrong licence type, we will swap it for the right one and settle the price difference.

We do not refund licences you are using just because you no longer need the font. Before buying, you can preview every character and style on the font’s page.

5. Business customers

If you buy as a business for your professional activity, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply. We handle complaints as described in section 3; liability details are set out in Terms of Sale.

6. Out-of-court dispute resolution

If you are a consumer, you can get free help from a local consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or the Trade Inspection in Katowice (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej). Consumers from other EU countries can contact the European Consumer Centre in their country. Taking part in out-of-court proceedings is voluntary for both parties.
